The WTF Moment
As
I have been rereading the Harry Potter series I still find myself saying WTF is
going on, it has been so long since I have read the books that I am still
finding myself getting surprised by even the subtle differences in the book and
movies. Rowling does a great job at keeping these WTF moments throughout the
entire series, which is necessary to keep readers interested through out seven
long books.
When
I first read the first two books I was around 12 years old, and I had this one
kid in my class that was extremely wealthy and was equally awful. While reading
the books I defiantly identified my hatred for (insert explicit here) with
Harry and Ron’s hatred for Draco. This kid in my class was weirdly similar to
Draco not in looks but, in personality.
I
am one of those mystery novel readers that never see the twists and turns
before they are coming, even if they are bluntly obvious. With speaking to
other friends on their experiences reading the Harry Potter series I am one of
the few that could not see Professor Quirrell as the actual person after the
Philosopher’s Stone. I believed wholeheartedly Professor Snape was the true
villain of the first novel
After
reading a few of peoples blog posts I thought it was interesting to see how
everyone’s previous and current experiences are affecting their own Harry
Potter experiences. Each person will have their own WTF moments through out the
series and I can not wait to continue finding mine through out the semester.
