Blog 3 - Conclusion

I was overall satisfied and happy with the conclusion of the books. I had only previously read  books 1 and 2, but seen all of the movies. However, it's been a number of years since I've seen some of the movies, so some things were still a surprise and this was a good thing.

What stood out the most to me was, of course, the story of Severus Snape. I remembered that in the end, Snape was on the "good side" but the realization of this from Harry, and the story of Snape's love for Lily and therefore protective nature (although an overall dislike as well) toward Harry was pretty mind blowing, and endearing. I also love the fact that in the epilogue we learn that Harry names his son Albus Severus. Too cute. There were times that I absolutely hated Snape, and even some times during the fimls especially, where I thought the relationship between Harry and Snape was almost comical. (Moments where he would smack Harry or Ron over the head with his papers or whatever made me laugh.) But in the end I felt that I understood Snape and could forgive his behavior throughout the series.

My feelings about Dumbledore never really changed. I always thought he was rad and hilarious. I love the fact that his passwords were always candies. :)
