“Immensely powerful, dangerous in the wrong hands, and an
object of incredible fascination to all of us who study the power of wands.” -Ollivander
The Elder wand is one of the three desired deathly hallows
in the “Tale of the Three Brothers.” According to the story, if someone possesses
the elder wand, the resurrection stone, and the invisibility cloak, they would
be the Master of Death. At the very end of the series, once Harry has defeated
Voldemort, he becomes the owner of the elder wand. After gaining ownership of
the wand, Harry decided to put it back into Dumbledore’s tomb so that when
Harry died from natural causes, the wand’s power would be broken, just like
Dumbledore wanted.
