extra credit

When trying to think about what character to write this about it was hard for me to pick just one. I think that through out this series many of the characters changed. Many of the characters from the beginning of the series did not turn out how I thought that they would.

The main character that I feel like changed was Snape. Through out this whole series he was viewed as the bad guy. The professor who was always out to get Harry in trouble and pick on Harry and his friends for everything. I was afraid of Snape while reading this series he gave me the goose bumps and I pictured him as a very dark character. In the last book we realize that everything that he was doing was to protect Harry. Snape had loved Harry's mother and he was using that love to protect Harry. He used his patronmus, the doe, to help Harry and Ron figure out where the sword was. He also killed Dumbledore for the sack of being the new owner of the Elder wand and to spare Malfoy the pain of killing someone. Snape was putting everyone before himself and we did not realize this until the end of this series. I think that Snape was the most changing and complex person to the readers eyes.

Another character that I am going to mention is Neville Longbottom. When we were first introduced to Neville he was blowing spells up in his face, forgetting everything and losing control of his brook stick on their first flying lesson. Through out the series especially in the last two books Neville became a big leader in the DA. When Harry, Ron and Hermione left Hogwarts Neville was there to make sure that the DA lived on. When Voldemort showed up to Hogwarts Neville was there to fight till his death. In my eyes he changed from a scared, weak boy to a brave leader.
