Harry Potter: The franchise that will never die.

I was pretty angry with Dumbledore around the middle of the book because he literally left Harry alone. He did not give any direction and he essentially set Harry up to die because of the prophecy. I began to like Snape by the book’s end. Crazy to think that Snape turned out to be 100% good, it’s even weirder to think that he was in love with Lily Potter. I found that to be extremely problematic. The poor teacher saw Harry everyday and thought how much he hated this kid for living instead of living and that he is the splitting image of his father. The one guy who bullied Snape all through school and then stole the girl of his dreams, Snape just got slapped in the face for six years. But him being awful to Harry kept his double agent secret very well because it showed Voldemort that Snape was on “his side.” Honestly Snape was my favorite character by the end of the series because of everything he did up until he died.
The fact that Harry didn’t actually die was slightly cliché but at the same time the series wouldn’t be Harry Potter if he in fact did die. But like honestly why did everyone get so concerned that he would have had to die when the prophecy was fulfilled? Also why couldn’t one person make it easy for Harry to accomplish his goals. This poor child had so much against him and in every book nothing came easy to Harry. Good thing he had Hermione and Ron with him at all times. Their relationship is just so odd and out there. I just think Hermione should have dated someone else along with Ron. I think it’s also weird that Harry ended up marrying Ginny. Honestly, Harry’s poor kids have the worst names imaginable. Don’t get me wrong I love the series but this was just a little much for me. The epilogue did not give any mention into Harry’s life immediately after the defeat of Voldemort. I am curious to see what he did all those years.
Harry Potter changed the world. It was a multi-billion dollar franchise that took a series that a few people read to a worldwide sensation. I cannot even begin to fathom what the world would have been like had Harry Potter not existed. It’s has grown to be so much more than it ever originally was thought to be. Harry Potter will never die.
Here are some fun youtube links that I quite enjoy, hope you enjoy them as well!
