Blog 3

This is my third time reading the series completely through, and I’ve read books six and seven more times than I can count. Like many others it has gotten better each and every time I do read it. It just goes to show how spectacular Rowling is. She created this entire world, full of details that I can never imagine coming up with. Whether or not you like the books, you can not deny that her writing is superb. I find it amazing that she created an entire world and somehow tied everything back together in the end. That takes a great creative, literary mind.
Since I have read the series twice before already and knew what was going to happen in the books, this time through I tried to pay close attention to the smaller details in the books, ones that I may have missed before. One detail that stood out that I never really appreciated before was Fred and George’s humor. Of course you notice it in the movies, but the way Rowling developed them as characters is great. I often found myself chuckling at their lines in the books.
The biggest surprise in the books was definitely Snape. When I first read the series, I completely hated him. But discovering all that we do in the last chapters of Deathly Hallows shocked me. Those last chapters may be my favorite in the entire series. I has a newfound respect for Snape, and he definitely might be one of the most complex characters I have ever read in a book.
I know I will probably read this series countless more times, and I am positive that it will continue to get better each and every time.
