The End...

J.K. Rowling surprised all of us in the end when she revealed the secrets of Severus Snape. We finally understand that Snape was a good man and that Dumbledore was right to trust him, and we learn that Harry is living a happy life after all.
Indeed, Snape was in love with Lily, which made him human and real. By showing his vulnerable and kind side, it turned around our feelings of disgust and hate toward him, and we finally appreciated him for his qualities. What really made a strong impact was in the epilogue when Harry showed how much he values Snape after all, when he said to his son "Albus Severus, you were named for two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew" (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 758). This statement made the end very special by honoring the memory of a great man who died for a good cause.
Moreover, the end was interesting and touching because we learn that the world is a better place without Voldemort. Everybody moved on with their lives, and they can finally be happy. Harry and Ginny are able to live happily married with their children James, Albus and Lily. J.K. Rowling made a sweet parallel between the resemblance of Harry with his father James, and Harry with his son Albus. It is touching to know that Harry resembled his father very much, and that now it is the turn of one of his son to look just like him, "The new boy resembled Draco as much as Albus resembled Harry" (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 756). It makes the readers proud to know that Harry became a father and that he will teach everything he knows to the next generation. In our mind, we can imagine the rest of the story with the new adventures of Harry Potter's children.
Therefore, I believe that the end of the series gave us closure on all of the important points, but it also enabled us to feel free to imagine our own sequel. The story of Harry Potter does not end right here because we know that the next generation of wizards in Hogwarts is ready to learn and experience life.
